Creative Thinking

Definition: Generate new ideas (or build on other people's ideas) to create things for a particular purpose or for my own interests. Build on others' ideas, add new ideas of my own, or combine other people's ideas in new ways to create new things or solve straightforward problems. Use my experiences with various steps and attempts to direct my future work.

This month I demonstrated creative thinking through my electric bike projects. I worked on upgrading and maintaining my Surron, which required me to generate new solutions when parts didn't fit perfectly or when I needed to troubleshoot electrical issues. For example, when designing custom components in Fusion 360, I had to build on existing ideas from online forums and adapt them to my specific setup. I also learned from failed attempts—like when a battery connection didn't work as expected—and used those experiences to adjust my approach for future modifications. This hands-on problem-solving process showed me that creativity isn't just about art; it's about finding practical solutions to real technical challenges and learning from what doesn't work the first time.

When I didn't understand what was being taught in math class, I went onto YouTube and learned how to do the math.
